Drone Startup Squadrone Partners with Geodia Industries

Bengaluru-based drone startup Squadrone Infra and Mining has announced a strategic partnership with Geodia Industries, a leading company in AI and ML-driven exploration technology. The collaboration aims to tap into the lucrative market of mineral exploration in India, Middle East, and South Asia, and to leverage state-of-the-art technology for sustainable development and innovation.

Squadrone Infra and Mining is a pioneer in aerial intelligence for mineral exploration, mining, tunnelling, and infrastructure. The company was involved in the 2023 Silkyara tunnel rescue operation, where it deployed advanced drones to monitor and assist the rescue of 41 trapped labourers. Squadrone’s drones are capable of maneuvering within tunnels and collecting high-resolution data.

Geodia Industries is a global leader in geophysical prospecting, with expertise in AI and ML-based analysis of geophysical data. The company has a track record of successful mineral exploration projects in various regions, especially in challenging and inaccessible areas. Geodia’s technology can detect vital minerals such as nickel, cobalt, niobium, graphite, lithium, and other green energy minerals.

The partnership between Squadrone and Geodia will combine their respective strengths in drone-based technology and AI/ML-driven exploration technology to redefine geophysical prospecting and revolutionize mineral exploration. The alliance will also address the global demand for critical minerals essential for green energy, which has created a significant supply gap.

Cyriac Joseph, Founder and CEO of Squadrone Infra and Mining, said, “Through this initiative, we will be integrating our drone-based technology with Geodia Industries’ prowess in AI and ML-driven exploration technology to push the boundaries of geophysical prospecting. This enables us to strengthen our mission to enable quick and effective decision-making, enhance productivity, safety, and increase ecological responsibility. Our intention is to set new industry standards for precision and efficiency. By emphasizing the discovery of vital minerals and employing environmentally conscious technology, the partnership aims to reshape the landscape of mining and exploration activities.”

Jorge Negrette, CEO of Geodia Industries, said, “This collaboration is a game-changer for the geophysical exploration sector. We will be breaking new ground in mineral exploration, particularly in challenging and inaccessible regions. We are confident that our combined expertise and technology will deliver superior results for our clients and stakeholders. We are excited to partner with Squadrone Infra and Mining, a company that shares our vision of sustainable development and innovation.”
