Arjun Munda Inaugurates Digital Center for Farmers

Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Arjun Munda, inaugurated the Agriculture Integrated Command and Control Center (AICCC) at the Krishi Bhawan in New Delhi on March 8, 2024. The digital center aims to empower the farmers of the country by equipping them with information, services, and facilities using digital technology.

The AICCC will showcase all the digital innovations being made in the field of agriculture by the ministry on a big screen. The center will also provide real-time data and analysis of various schemes and programs implemented by the ministry for the benefit of the farmers.

Munda said that the AICCC is an innovation of the ministry under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make the farmers self-reliant across the country. He added that the center will help in monitoring, evaluation, and feedback of the agricultural activities and interventions.

The minister also said that the AICCC will facilitate better coordination and communication among various stakeholders involved in the agricultural sector, such as state governments, district administrations, research institutes, extension agencies, and farmers’ organizations.

The AICCC is expected to enhance the efficiency, transparency, and accountability of the agricultural governance and service delivery system. It will also enable faster decision making and problem solving for the issues faced by the farmers.

The inauguration of the AICCC is a part of the Digital India initiative of the government, which aims to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy.
