DTDC Expands to Malaysia, Boosts Southeast Asia Presence

DTDC, India’s leading integrated express logistics company, through its subsidiary DTDC Global Express PTE Ltd, has entered the Malaysian market by inaugurating a new office in Kuala Lumpur. The move expands DTDC’s presence in Southeast Asia, adding to its existing locations in Singapore and Australia.

Malaysia: A Strategic Market for DTDC

Malaysia shares a healthy import and export relationship with India and has a prevalent Indian diaspora. The bilateral trade between the two countries is valued at USD 20 billion and is poised for sustained growth, estimated to reach USD 25 billion by 2026. Malaysia also exhibits a strong growth potential with its economy standing at USD 1.2 trillion, fueled by the growth in local manufacturing.

The new office in Kuala Lumpur will provide enhanced trans-shipment solutions and offer export and import services to/from India, Singapore, and Australia, along with handling local deliveries in Malaysia. The new sales office will also ensure convenient and cost-competitive shipping options for retail and MSME customers through the DTDC worldwide solution.

“At DTDC we aim to stretch beyond boundaries while strengthening our presence in the existing markets. The expansion in Malaysia will add to our capabilities in the region and provide seamless shipping solutions to/from our global network, specifically countries like India, Australia, UAE, and the UK,” said Subhashish Chakraborty, Founder, Chairman, and Managing Director, DTDC Express Ltd.

DTDC: A Global Leader in Express Logistics

DTDC is one of the largest express logistics companies in India, covering approximately 96 per cent of the population through 16,000 plus physical customer access points. It has a global reach of 220 destinations, offering domestic and international express delivery services, e-commerce logistics solutions, supply chain management services, freight forwarding services and warehousing services.

As part of its global expansion plans, the company collaborated with Aramex last year to enhance its capabilities in cross-border logistics. DTDC is also a strategic partner of DPD Group, one of Europe’s leading parcel delivery networks.

With its new office in Malaysia, DTDC aims to leverage the opportunities in the Southeast Asian market and provide superior customer service and value to its clients.
