Empowering India’s Youth: Reliance Industries’ GET 2024 Online Engineering Recruitment Initiative

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), India’s largest corporate, has launched the Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) 2024 Programme, a new online recruitment drive for young engineering talent across India. This programme is designed to democratise opportunities by extending access to world-class training and employment to young engineers from all corners of the country, particularly those from smaller towns and regional institutes.

Eligibility and Selection Process

The GET 2024 Programme is open to freshers with full-time B.Tech/B.E. degrees from any AICTE approved institute, graduating in 2024, in the field of Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation. The candidates should have an aggregate of 60% or above score in Engineering (up to 7th Semester/ Graduation) and at least 60% in 10th, 12th, or Diploma (if applicable). They should also have good oral and written communication skills, conceptual clarity and a desire to build a career in Reliance.

The selection process consists of four stages: registration, online assessment, personal interview and final selection. The registration phase started on January 11, 2024 and will end on January 19, 2024. The online assessment will include a cognitive test along with a subject matter test and will be conducted from February 5, 2024 to February 8, 2024. The candidates who excel in the assessment will be invited for a personal interview round from February 23, 2024 to March 1, 2024. The final decision on the candidature will be notified by the end of March 2024.

Remuneration and Training

The selected GETs will undergo a training program designed to build requisite competencies for targeted job roles. Confirmation into these roles will depend upon successful completion of the training program and performance in the final assessments. The remuneration for the GETs will vary according to their institute category. For IIT graduates, the remuneration will be INR 9.00 Lakh per annum on joining, INR 9.50 Lakh per annum plus ACB INR 1.05 Lakh per annum after 12 months and a deferred bonus of INR 5 Lakh after two years post confirmation. For non-IIT graduates, the remuneration will be INR 7.50 Lakh per annum on joining, INR 8.00 Lakh per annum plus ACB INR 0.88 Lakh per annum after 12 months and a deferred bonus of INR 3 Lakh after two years post confirmation.

The GET 2024 Programme is an entry-level program for nurturing young engineering talent and enabling them to actively contribute to RIL’s growing business and ecosystem. RIL is one of the most diversified companies in India with interests in energy, petrochemicals, textiles, retail, telecommunications and digital services. It is also committed to sustainability and renewable energy solutions and has recently announced its plans to invest USD 10 billion in green energy projects over the next three years.
