Overview
The State-Level Single Window Clearance Committee (SLSWCC) headed by Karnataka Minister M B Patil on Friday approved 73 projects worth Rs 3,935.52 crore. The projects are expected to generate employment for nearly 15,000 people, according to a statement . The projects cover various sectors such as manufacturing, renewable energy, food processing, warehousing and logistics.
Major Projects
Among the major projects approved by the SLSWCC are:
- ETL Secure Space Limited, a Bengaluru-based company that plans to invest Rs 490.5 crore to set up a data centre at Devanahalli in Bengaluru Rural district .
- DhaSH PV Technologies Private Limited, another Bengaluru-based company that proposes to invest Rs 346.35 crore to establish a solar photovoltaic module manufacturing unit at Dobbespet in Bengaluru Rural district .
- Mylar Infra Private Limited, a company that intends to invest Rs 339.84 crore to set up a multi feed-based distillery in Huvinahadagali in Ballari district .
- Sango India Automotive Parts Private Limited, a company that aims to invest Rs 278.59 crore to manufacture exhaust systems for automobiles at Harohalli in Ramanagara district .
Regional Distribution
The minister said that the projects that received a nod would ensure equitable investment across the diverse regions of the state. Many of the projects approved by the SLSWCC would be implemented in the districts of North Karnataka, he added . He also said that the clearance of more than 70 projects at a single meeting was an indication of the efficiency that the single-window system had ushered in for the approval process.
