PM Inaugurates Gujarat Projects Worth Rs 1,06,000 Cr

Ahmedabad, March 12, 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has today initiated a transformative era for Gujarat’s infrastructure by inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for projects worth over Rs 1,06,000 crores. This initiative is a significant step towards realizing the vision of a developed India.

A Quantum Leap in Infrastructure

The Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) stands out as a flagship project, with an investment of Rs 85,000 crores aimed at decongesting railway networks and promoting seamless cargo movement. The DFC is expected to cut transit time by half while increasing the freight carrying capacity of railways.

Revolutionizing Rail Travel

The introduction of 10 new Vande Bharat trains is set to redefine rail travel in India. These trains are equipped with cutting-edge features such as onboard Wi-Fi, bio-vacuum toilets, and automatic doors, representing an investment that underscores the government’s push towards modernizing the Indian Railways.

Catalyzing Petrochemical Innovation

The laying of the foundation stone for the Petrochemicals complex at Dahej signifies a strategic investment in India’s energy sector. With an estimated project value of Rs 20,000 crores, it is expected to create over 50,000 jobs and position India as a leader in hydrogen energy production.
