Rolls-Royce, a global leader in technology and innovation, has announced that it has extended its contract with TVS Supply Chain Solutions (TVS SCS), a global supply chain solutions provider, for five years until 2029. The contract extension pertains to the advanced Parts Distribution Centre (PDC) located in Singapore, which serves the Asia Pacific markets for Rolls-Royce’s Power Systems business unit.
Benefits of the PDC in Singapore
The PDC in Singapore is equipped with an Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) that was implemented in 2014 by TVS SCS to enhance warehouse efficiency and productivity. The ASRS is tailored to Rolls-Royce’s specific requirements and enables faster and more accurate delivery of parts to customers in the region. The PDC also provides value-added services such as kitting, packaging, labelling and quality inspection.
According to Rolls-Royce, the PDC in Singapore has improved its customer service levels by reducing lead times, increasing fill rates and enhancing visibility of parts availability. The PDC also supports Rolls-Royce’s sustainability goals by reducing carbon emissions, energy consumption and waste generation.
