Bollywood Meets Wellness: Ranveer Singh Becomes Co-Owner of Bold Care

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh has recently taken on a new role as a co-owner of Bold Care, a direct-to-consumer sexual health and wellness brand. This significant partnership follows a year of Singh’s active association with the brand, marking a major step in changing the narrative around sexual wellness in India.

Founded in 2019 by Rajat Jadhav, Rahul Krishnan, Harsh Singh, and Mohit Yadav, Bold Care has become a prominent player in the men’s health and wellness sector. The company offers a wide range of products, including condoms, lubricants, chewables, gummies, and supplements, catering to the needs of a rapidly evolving industry.

Although the financial details of Singh’s investment are not disclosed, his involvement as a co-owner is seen as a strategic move to leverage his popularity. This collaboration aims to boost the marketing of sexual wellness products and bring attention to a sector that traditionally has not been endorsed by high-profile celebrities. Singh’s commitment to the brand is described as deep and engaging, indicating a close involvement in various aspects of the business.

Bold Care has successfully raised more than $3 million in funding to date, including a pre-series A funding round last February. The startup distributes its products through multiple channels, including its official website and prominent online marketplaces like Amazon, Flipkart, PharmEasy, and Nykaa. To date, the company has processed over 15 lakh orders, demonstrating a strong market presence.

The Indian sexual health and wellness industry is experiencing a surge, with startups collectively raising over $24 million in funding since 2020. Singh’s appointment as co-owner is expected to give Bold Care a competitive edge in a crowded market, leveraging his star power to foster a positive change in societal attitudes toward sexual wellness.

The sexual wellness space in India has seen several developments, including new players entering the market and acquisitions expanding existing companies’ portfolios. The market is projected to grow significantly, with an estimated size of $2.09 billion by 2030.

Ranveer Singh’s partnership with Bold Care comes at a pivotal moment for the industry and is expected to pave the way for a more open and accepting dialogue around sexual wellness in Indian society.
